Undaunted by the burning spear That sears our hearts We forge ahead refusing to cringe Kicked around by forces from within And whipped senseless by external oppressors We rise above taunts to carve our niche in granite The volcano erupts in anger Spewing forth the emotion it failed to contain Nature indeed abhors all vacuums Trailed by the mirthless laughter of our allies We will not cow but seek a new way We are water and carve our path we must
